Happy New Year. I am so grateful to the creative artists included in this latest issue of Harvests of New Millennium. In this issue I have done my level best to include excellent contemporary artwork, modern and postmodern creative writing including poems, haiku, book reviews and several other interesting features. Since the inaugural issue of this journal devoted to Art and poetry, I have been receiving a very large number of poems and art work, paintings and photos. It might be added that the selection of creative writings and paintings suitable for publication in this journal is made after deep deliberation and scrutiny. The fact is that Cyberwit is committed to the promotion of creative artists world-wide. The objective is to publish the very best creative writings and artwork by artists from all over the world. We might gain insight into so many cultures from so many voices. It is very sad that in the contemporary world most of the people are indifferent toward the beauty of creative arts. Poetry is the “ record of the best and the happy moments of the happiest and the best minds”. Carl Sandburg, one of the greatest American poets, aptly says: “Poetry is the journal of the sea animal living on land, wanting to fly in the air. Poetry is a search for syllables to shoot at the barriers of the unknown and the unknowable. Poetry is a phantom script telling how rainbows are made and why they go away.” I am highly indebted to all creative artists and poets. The truth is that without their generous support and kind cooperation this publication would never have been possible. Many thanks again for their kind help. Best Wishes for a Happy New Year.
