Dan Giancola is the author of 8 poetry collections, including Powder & Echo: Poems About Long Island's Role in the American Revolutionary War (Canio's Editions, 1991), Part Mirth, Part Murder (Street Press, 2007), Data Error (Street Press, 2012), and, most recently, Near- Ghazals (Bullhead Books, 2023). He also edited Speaking to an Empty Room: The Selected Letters of John Sanford (Tough Poets Press, 2020). After 38 years of teaching English at Suffolk County Community College, he retired in 2021.
