With some 3,000 poems behind her, Arlene Corwin has extended the thematically based book Birth, Death & In Between to Birth, Death & In Between II, the theme repeating it seems, lifelong - repeated, but never repetitive; a book speaking to the variegated worlds of thought and event which start in birth, have a life and end in death. Corwin has gone from the ‘time when there was nothing to say’ to having poetic opinions, universal, far-reaching and wall-to-wall; matured and maturing in breadth and style as well as years. A musically gifted child, she studied harp, piano and voice, making music her profession, jazz her genre. She graduated from the High School of Music & Art and Hofstra University. She published her first book in 2010 and has published regularly since, "Circling Round Everything” 2017 "Swedish Book” 2019 being her latest two. The next is already in the works. Born 1934, Brooklyn, New York, Corwin has spent the last 34 years playing, singing and writing in Sweden.
