The stories of three men on death row are entwined in the notorious Itzedin prison in Kalami, Crete during the years between 1950 and 1960. Panos, a political prisoner, Odysseas, a painter of icons, and Menelaos, a shepherd?they all await their execution. The first one is convicted because of his involvement in the Resistance with the leftists, the other two are convicted of the murder of their wives, although they were innocent. |
