He has degrees from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. In recent years, Bryan has been published in Frogpond, Modern Haiku, Acorn, Akitsu Quarterly, The Heron's Nest, Prune Juice, Failed Haiku, Contemporary Haibun Online, Atoms of Haiku III, Horizon: The Haiku Anthology, and a number of other fine journals and anthologies.
