Sulabha Naik
Academician, writer, poet, examiner, freelance journalist and an eminent scholar, Mrs. Sulabha Naik excels in each of these roles. Mrs. Sulabha Naik started her scholastic career as Principal, Bal Niketan, 9BRD, Air Force Primary School, Air Force Station, Lohegaon, Pune. She is a M. Phil ( English ) from University of Pune and has taught in various reputed colleges in Mumbai and Pune, establishing a great rapport with her students over the years. She also taught Soft Skills in the Corporate Sector in Pune. She published her literary book titled A Feminist Perspective on the Fiction of Virginia Woolf in 1998. She was awarded a full scholarship in September, 1994 by the English Speaking Union, UK to attend an International Seminar on Art, Literature and Music in 19th Century England and France at The Centre International d Etudes, Pedagogiques, Sevres, Paris, France. She was the sole Asian delegate amongst eight other delegates from across the Globe. She was also invited to read a Paper on Rudyard Kipling and E. M. Foster at a Literary Conference in Tuebingin, Germany in April, 1999. Mrs. Sulabha Naik has been an Examiner for the British Council in Pune for the Business English Certificate Examinations ( BEC ) under the aegis of The Cambridge University, UK till 2011 for seventeen years. Widely travelled Mrs. Sulabha Naik has finely honed her skills as a writer and a teacher enriched by all her experiences garnered from her travels in India and abroad. Currently she is conducting classes for Creative Writing and also trains candidates for IELTS. She lives in Pune with her husband retired Indian Air Force officer and passionately tends to her pets and garden with tender loving care. |
