Kumari Vandana Singh is a Business educator by profession and an art lover. Born in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. Creative writing came as a hobby in her early life and now gives an escape from her busy schedule. She has been writing poems, stories and articles since she was 12 years old. Apart from her academic journey, she was devoted to Hindi & English literature and always wanted to contribute to Hindi literature. The poetic characteristic of her personality felt compelled to put herself across which gave her an immense satisfaction. She likes analysing issues from a different perspective and observes things around her like social issues, people and their problems. The result of all this turmoil around the world shows in her writing and as shapes or figures on her canvas. She uses various painting mediums to express her emotions and has inclination towards figurative, landscapes, still life and abstract. One of her favourite paintings is the cover page on her first poetry book - Kavya Shrinkhala which is a collection of some of her best pieces of work. Majority of the poems are based on her personal experiences and ongoing social issues like corruption, politics, gender inequality, terrorism etc. Also, a few on childhood, nature, life, importance of education and emotions. In her opinion, life is like a blank canvas that has been given to us where we draw the map and pictures of our own life experiences. The emotions we feel throughout our life fills the colour into these maps and images to brings it to life. We are in control of this canvas and can choose how to colour it, shape it & transform it from time to time in our own way.
