Dipanita Gargava
Dr Dipanita Gargava was born (b Aug 63) and brought up at Baidyabati, a small town in the Hooghly district of West Bengal. She graduated from Shrirampore College and completed post graduation from Shri Hari Sing Gaur Vishwa Vidhyalaya, Sagar.There after she completed her M.Phil and Doctors in Philosophy in English from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidhyalaya, Indore. Presently she is working with the College of Agriculture, Indore in the Department of English. A versatile writer she writes poems and short stories in both English and Hindi. There is an autobiographical vein in most of the poems. She has also developed a characteristic style of her own. Her poetry is suffused with a complex pattern of sentiments and feelings. They relate to emotional need. Craving and a strident sense of frustration and disappointment, deprivation and isolation run through her poems. Although she uses the English language in her poetry and fiction, she is typically Indian in her choice of themes, character, sentiment and background. In her poem An Introduction acknowledges this aspect of her works. My poems deal with the life within myself which I would like to express in words penned down."
