ARDRA MANASI

Ardra Manasi is a final year Masters student of Development Studies at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras. She has published her first collection of poems in Malayalam titled ‘Jalatharpanam’ in 2007. She has actively contributed articles and poems to newspapers and magazines including The Hindu, Reading Hour, Mathrubhumi, Bodhi Commons etc. Her academic publication includes a chapter on ‘ The Gender dimension of armed conflicts: Violation of rights of Women ‘ in the collection ‘Human Rights in a Changing world’ edited by P.Sukumaran Nair (Kalpaz publications,2011). Apart from writing, Ardra holds dance close to her heart and is a trained dancer in Bharatnatyam and Mohiniyattam. |
