  • VOL. 22 NUMBER 1 JUNE 2022
  • Warm greetings. Like the earlier issues, this latest edition of Taj Mahal Review is an humble attempt to publish genuine creative writings by authors across the globe. I have done my best to ascertain that the June 2022 edition contains only those authors who cater to the creative appetite of readers all over the world. This latest issue of TMR includes modern and postmodern poems, haiku by international poets, book reviews and many other interesting features. Some of the poems included in this latest edition are romantic in method and style, but it is necessary to add that these poets find it difficult to altogether escape troubled spirit. The fact is that it is not always possible for a creative artist to write about happier aspects of life.

  • Welcome to Taj Mahal Review, December 2021! May every day of this New Year bring you Happiness, Love and Prosperity. Happy New Year! The multiple ways connect these poets, short-story tellers and essayists together. A global feel with artists around the world. It is my earnest hope that the impulses, desires, a few admonitions, some brilliant, acute observations will surely comfort our world tormented by the insolence of violence, terrorism, “the whips and scorns of time.” It is hoped that this issue of Taj Mahal Review will help in sustaining a sense of literature and art. The authors included in TMR reveal the very spirit and soul of great writing. Struggle would exhaust all creative artists, so cooperation is indispensable for evolving a society of world poets to create a world free from violence and hatred.

VOLUME 21 NUMBER 1 JUNE 2021
  • VOLUME 21 NUMBER 1 JUNE 2021
  • To begin with the June 2021 edition of Taj Mahal Review, it is necessary to state that the journal provides immense aesthetic pleasure to all readers across the world. Its principle is : to publish only original poems, haiku, short story, critical reviews, etc. It is quite disappointing to point out so many deaths due to a global outbreak of the pandemic coronavirus. “The most recent common ancestor (MRCA) of all coronaviruses is estimated to have existed as recently as 8000 BCE, although some models place the common ancestor as far back as 55 million years or more.” No doubt, destruction of our ecosystems is quite responsible for the outbreak of infectious diseases. Various academic researches have shown that deforestation and loss of wild life lead to several pandemics. Wordsworth is quite right in lamenting the fact that we are now strangers to “Spontaneous wisdom breathed by health”.

VOL. 19 NUMBER 2 DEC 2019 (36th Issue)
  • VOL. 19 NUMBER 2 DEC 2019 (36th Issue)
  • he December 2019 issue of TMR features some of the best modern and postmodern poets across the globe. The latest issue includes some magnificent poems and haiku devoid of banal epithets and any type of false elegance.  In this newest edition of the journal, we will find other interesting features: artwork, literary criticism and book reviews. It is beyond comprehension why a few writers criticize poetry. It is not possible to agree with the view that we should 'shut our eyes to poets and pipers'. It will be good if we peruse Defence of Poetry by Sir Philip Sidney. In this famous work Sidney "analyses the very inner essence of poetry and the reason of its existence,—its development from, and operation on, the mind of man". Philip Sidney aptly remarks that poetry is better than philosophy and history: "The poet is the food for the tenderest stomachs, the poet is indeed the right popular philosopher.Essentially, poetry shows history more brilliantly than history, and explains philosophy more cogently than philosophy." It is good to remember that Buddha's middle path philosophy is quite prudent and wise for our contemporary world afflicted with violence and brutality.

VOL. 17 NUMBER 2 DEC 2018
  • VOL. 17 NUMBER 2 DEC 2018
  • Happy New Year. The latest issue of TMR reveals that the poems and haiku selected for publication in this issue are full of ease and variety, and never tend to monotony. In the poems, haiku and short story included in this edition, we find a wonderful union of  intellectual power and creative power. The Dec 2018 issue of TMR reveals altogether quite attractive features: poems, haiku, short story, book review and many other interesting things. Edgar Allan Poe aptly remarks that a great poem elevates the reader's soul: " I need scarcely observe that a poem deserves its title only in as much as it excites, by elevating the soul. The value of the poem is in the ratio of this elevating excitement. But all excitements are, through a psychal necessity, transient. That degree of excitement which would entitle a poem to be so called at all, cannot be sustained throughout a composition of any great length. After the lapse of half an hour, at the very utmost, it flags—fails—a revulsion ensues—and then the poem is, in effect, and in fact, no longer such."
